Rebak Island Resort Review

Assalammu'alaikum friends, family & readers,

Alhamdulillah, the day surgery for my husband went well. He is at home keeping himself busy with his new Samsung Galaxy SIII. :)

Since i haven't had much to worry now, I guess I can write a review on the resort we stayed at during our very overdue honeymoon, right? Oh why not?

We decided to go Air Asia booking a flight and hotel, oh wait.. I forgot, we went to Langkawi for our honeymoon. 4D3N. We spend less than $1000 for flight & hotel. It was value for money. :)

It was husband's first time flying so I sat by the window, and he nervously attempt to read as we were about to take off. After awhile, he warmed up and peeked to see out the window. And soon, he was chatty and didnt really let me sleep - well, I did manage to steal 40winks nonetheless. :)

We had a free shuttle service to the hotel from the airport, the driver picked us up along with two other couples. He drove us all to Port Langkasuka, where we took a ferry to Rebak Island. The ferry service is on hourly basis (well almost), first ferry out from Rebak Island at 7.15am and last ferrt back to Rebak Island at 7.45pm. So we had to abide to that timings, else had to pay a per trip service (costing between RM160 to RM220).

We got an early check-in to our room. The welcome service was great, we received complimentary Guava Juice which was refreshing! We had complimentary free Wi-Fi, and buffet breakfast. Our room was that of Superior Partial Sea View. The room was huge! I wish BTOs has a living room that huge! The bathroom was awesome! I love the vanity area.

My favorite spot in the room!

This window opens to a balcony overseeing the beach and sea.

The restaurant was okay, price was a pleasant surprise, we spend abt RM130 for lunch and abt RM180 for dinner on our first day. We didnt get out so we are left with just the restaurant to fill our tummies. Not much of a complaint. :)

We got ourselves a private tour to see the mainland the next day. The co-ordinate, Mr Wira was kind to arrange Mr Zaidi as our private guide. He is great! It was worth every cent of the RM250 we paid him for a full 8hr service. He brought us to the Mardi Agro Farm, Makam Mahsuri, Masjid Al-Hana, Duty-Free Malls, Telaga Tujuh, Oriental Village, and we ate the best lunch we can ever imagine! We spend abt RM45 for the three of us! Now, that is what I say value for money! Heh!

We spoke to him about the next day, and alhamdulillah, he decide to volunteer himself for our itenary tomorrow. Did I say we went to Duty-Free Malls, well, we bought lots and lots and lots! Lots to eat for the next 2days. :) and of course some sourveniors.

So we head back to the hotel with aching legs that day, lucky for us, a caddy driver was there to offer us a lift when we arrive at Rebak Island Jetty. MasyaAllah. He send us right to our room. And we gladly tipped him for that.

So the next day, we caught such a beautiful sunrise view as we are leaving our rooms. It was gorgeous, and we were mermerized. As we walk, we also caught glimpse of happy Hornbills chirping and flying from tree to tree. Oh what peaceful sight! It was amazing.

We met Mr Zaidi again at Port Langkasuka. He brought us to another jetty for us to go for our Island Hopping. Now, this time.. The boatman was AWESOME!! :) and like every island hopping itenary, we visited Pulau Dayang Bunting, Eagle feeding/watching near Pulau Singa Besar, and to Pulau Beras Basah.

We dont really have a pleasant memory at Pulau Beras Basah because of the visitors there, but I shall not talk abt it.

We then spoke to Mr Zaidi to bring us to Telaga Air Hangat. Nothing much to expect, but it was ok.

I just had to! Haha!

NOW, when we return to the hotel, it was a really pleasant surprise. We were stopped, and was not allowed to enter our room. "Give us an hour" was all the server said to us.

And so we sat out, watching the sea hit the shore, as the sun sets, guessing what they are doing in our room. "Maybe they are servicing the aircon," guessed the husband. "Well, maybe.." I said, well, what else could U have said.

Anyways, an hour passed, and the seever with big smile came to us, "Your room is ready, Sir, Ma'am"

So we head it.. And we were greeted with this! (Tell me, do I need to say more?)

Wassalam,
Happy & Contented Wife
